..."How much money do u really need to:
a)meet your basic obligations
b)do the things you want to do?" (KAYAK! bike, hammock, backpack...)

we've got to keep working! but only to the point of sufficiency. NOT abundance!
CHRIS!! :)

"Once you have that amount, you have the walk-away number. That's the
number with which you can comfortably walk away from any commitment
that is incompatible with who you are and what you really want. You can
start to focus on building a life more than building a bank account. You
learn to value experiences (things you do) more than possessions (things you
own).  YESSSS!!!

***

One of the best feelings in the world comes from the awareness that
everything will be okay. If you have that feeling, you know exactly what
I mean.

If you don't have it, it's not that difficult to get to it. It just involves a shift
in thinking, a desire for change, and the courage to be different. Like a lot
of unconventional choices, not everyone will relate. Some people won't get
it at all, others will get it but be unable to let go of deeply-held beliefs about
scarcity,
and a few will embrace sufficiency and experience a life of purposeful
adventure."

ADVENTUREEEE!! :)

keeping it real...

chris has a Twitter??

ahhhh I LOVE THIS GUY!

"For better or worse, what I do is 100% legit. I do fly First Class (sometimes) and I do sleep on the floor of the airport and in random guesthouses in poor countries. It's all part of the adventure.

Sometimes I'll fall behind with some things -- like when I can't take a real shower or am riding in buses for 13 hours through South America. But whether I'm online or not at any particular moment, you all are welcome to be a part of this in whichever way you want.

You've got email updatesRSS, Twitter, free manifestos, 108 countries, Store, etc. Take your pick."

legiiiiiit! one day we will meet him for sureeee!

keep rocking the universeeee

WHAT DO YOU REALLY WANT TO GET OUT OF LIFE?
WHAT CAN YOU OFFER THE WORLD THAT NO ONE ELSE CAN?

NOTHING CAN STOP YOUU!!!
get out there.

GO! DO! BE!!
magging/packingggg
To be truly awesome, you have to go above and beyond the efforts of those around you, look for alternative solutions, and refuse to back down from the truth.

I'm a CAR CRASH!!!

Underwater I wrote drowning
I use to be such good, good swimmer
But for now my head is in the clouds
I'm a silly love song
A twisted elbow crush song
I would go to jail with only boys
Just to prove I was as tough as you
And when I get out for good behavior
I'll be writing love songs
Silly banging knee songs
I'm a car crash
But I have to get up
And every morning it's a clean up
All I need is time, time to love you
The forecast is grey
But we're staying inside
You must live close
I've seen you drive by
I left signs on the lawn
Where have they gone?
Did you take them to tease me?
To follow or lead me?
You're a silly love song
A verse chorus and such
Some silly love song
A verse chorus and such
I'm a car crash
But I have to get up
And every morning it's a cleanup
All I need is time, time to love you
All I need is time
All I need is time
All I need is time, time to love you
All I need is time
All I need is time
All I need is time, time to love you
Baby all I need is time, time to love you
Time to love you

cheap and available??

idol=

Don't you dare speak for someone you don't know.
They'll feel it in the back of their throat.
We know I can't construct a poem
Cause words like girls get bored and run
C'est la vie, I say "I've got so many better things"
I've got nothing, you should see me,
I smoke myself to sleep.

And blame postmodern things I can't relate,
Like summer camp and coastal states.
Like alcohol and coffee beans.
Dance floors and magazines.
I think its safe to say I've only got myself to blame
But boys in swooping haircuts are bringing me down,       HAAAAAHAHAHA swooping haircuts. taking pics of themselvessss!!
Taking pictures of themselves.

And so I walk the web in search of love,
But always seem to end up stuck.
I'm finding flaws in everyone.          (maybe??)
I've reached the point where all I want,
Is to sleep around in hopes that I will catch back up.
We are parallel lines we’re running in circles,
We're never meant to cross.

I'm at a loss, you were my tangerine,
My pussycat, my trampoline.
Now alls I get are wincing cheeks,
And dog problems, I signed a lease.
Thinking my heart belonged at 93rd and park.
Instead I broke a girl’s heart,
And flew back to Phoenix to finish the year as it started.

Can you hear me?
Are you listening?
This is the sound of my heart aching.
And I hope it's entertaining,
Cause for me it’s a bitch.
Was it worth it?
When you slept with him?
Did you get it all out of your system?

I am a man
Holding it all
I couldn’t breath
Coming across
I didn’t know
I couldn’t give up

B is for believing you'd always be here for me.
E is for everything, even when we see it though.
C, c is for seeing through you, you are a fake, which brings me to
A because, because, you always run away.             (becca??!?!)

I never finish phrases, I misspell.
Open arms are prison cells.
When I said, "I hate what I've become"
I lied, I hated who I was.
So when you start to wonder 'bout the pain in my throat,
Then don't you ever, no never, ever, speak for someone you don't know.

realist? idealist? OPTIMIST!!

...I LOVE CHRIS!!

"In the Rock-Paper-Scissors game of life, every day we have
endless choices. Door A or B, blue or red pill, etc. Here are a few
suggestions:

1. Hope beats fear
2. Abundance beats scarcity
3. Yes beats no

A few years ago, I started saying yes to things. It wasn't a
gimmick like the movie, and I didn't say yes to everything -
but I went from looking for reasons to say no and started looking
for ways to say yes.
  • Round-the-World trip while I'm still in school? OK.
  • Climb Table Mountain in South Africa when I'm supposed
    to be working? Alright.
  • Go running in the middle of the night in Sri Lanka? Sure.
Conventional living is all about being balanced, well-rounded,
risk-adverse, and safe. The problem is that well-rounded people
rarely do anything interesting. Balanced people don't usually
change the world.

The alternative is to truly live, and come back tired - even if you're
not traveling. Be better than you have been before. Give more than
you take. Embrace the extremes. Say yes."

...SAYYYYY YESS!!

"Final Thoughts:
That thing you're working on today - will it matter one year from
now? If so, great. Keep doing that. If not, why are you doing it?"
thank youuuuu CHRIS!
